Leaving the E45 at Sansepolcro after a visit to the Museum of Piero della Francesca proceed to San Giustino, with a splendid castle Bufalini. From here we continue to Citerna, Monterchi and Mount St. Maria Tiberina interesting medieval towns and Renaissance. Returning down the plain in Citta di Castello, the most important center of the Tiber Valley, we recommend a visit to the Municipal Art Gallery, the Museum of the Chapter, and Burri Collection at the Center of Popular Traditions. Then we reach Montone well-preserved medieval town with an interesting museum in the Church and Convent of St. Francis and Umbertide with the mighty castle and the nearby Abbey Montecorona. Back on the E45 you can continue towards Perugia, Assisi and Gubbio.
