The Castle Park buffalo
The wonderful gardens of the Castello Bufalini is framed by the urban landscape of the historic town of San Giustino, bordering the northern Apennines in Umbria. The Italian-style garden, one of the most significant of Umbria, is the result of changes in the first half of the eighteenth century. It features the original division into seven spaces connected by paths that allow the transition from the triangular garden to labyrinth with tall hedges, from rose beds by the oaks of "ragnaia", from voltabotte of laurel to the garden of flowers with oval fountain in the center and the niche with frame with mosaic. The park is full of fountains and is crossed by the open channel that links them, recalling the Roman plowed irrigation system, known as a "slutty".
